The past three weeks have been extremely difficult which is why I felt the need to take a break from blogging. I had three straight weeks of exams which meant countless hours of studying and even more stressing. Although I'm a senior (with a few weeks left) it was so hard to find that extra push to finish the year strong. Luckily I have some great friends, teachers, and coffee that helped me survive!
Speaking of friends...I've realized that over the course of high school (especially after being with some of the same people for 10 years now) that you don't have to be friends with everyone. It's important to be kind and courteous to all those around, but the more important thing is to have real friends- people that you can always count on and talk to no matter what.
As my final days of high school come to a close and the thought of actually having to walk across a stage and get my diploma arises, I have a regret of two. I mostly regret wishing my time in high school away, because this time with friends and my family is quite precious and I didn't realize this until...well, now. I now know that important it is to tell the special people in my life how much they mean to me and how much I'll miss them, because we don't have forever!
For now, I'm soaking up and cherishing every moment I have left in my favorite city, my home-town, my Carolina Coast.
PS. Sorry for the sappy-ish post,
